戴晶兒
(Click the pull-down menu at the top for more details about Krystal!)

Krystal was born in Vancouver, Canada but has been living in Hong Kong since she and her family moved here when she was a year old. Daughter of legendary Hong Kong composer and arranger, Romeo Diaz, and Hong Kong's voice coach to the stars, Christine Samson, Krystal has been involved in music virtually her entire life. She started singing professionally at the age of 8 when she was a featured vocalist for a Hong Kong TV commercial. Since then she has performed extensively as both a lead singer and background vocalist for both live shows and studio recordings. Her voice has been featured in numerous television commercials aired all over Asia and she can be heard singing lead vocals for one of the theme songs for the 3D-animated TV series Electroboy (English version). She has also been invited to perform at special events and charity fundraising functions for organisations such as Community Chest, the Organisation for Oncology and Translational Research and Habitat for Humanity.

Krystal is also a freelance songwriter and has written songs in collaboration with other musicians for television commercials for companies such as Cathay Pacific, Sun Hung Kai Properties, China Light and Power, Canon, to name but a few. When she was 16 years old, she began composing and performing her own original songs in collaboration with her elder brother, Adam Diaz, who is also a prominent musician, songwriter and lead guitarist for Hong Kong rock band Hardpack.

These days, Krystal spends most of her time teaching vocals at
CSMA Studio, performing at special events and working on her debut album.
